Quality Improvement Coordinator 
Under the direction of the Medical Director, the selected individual will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of quality improvement programs for the Medical Group.

Position Qualifications:
This full time position requires the following:

•  A current California state license as a Registered Nurse

•  A minimum of two (2) years work experience in Quality Improvement in a managed care setting,

•  Knowledge of utilization review and risk management

•  Knowledge of regulatory standards for managed care organizations;

•  Strong problem solving, project management, group facilitation and teamwork skills and sufficient verbal and written communication skills to perform the tasks required.

Electronic Health Record Support
We are currently seeking a person to administer and support clinical information systems in Santa Cruz. This position will work with the computer support department, vendors and stakeholders to improve the daily operations of the system in order to streamline the delivery of health care data to providers and their Electronic Medical Records.
 
This position will provide end user support by identifying workflow changes or enhancements facilitating the flow of standards based data.
Job duties include communicating effectively verbally and in writing among technical staff, clinical staff, physicians and management. This person will prepare written documentation and diagrams describing the workflow and information flow related to the clinical information system.
 
Minimum Skills Required:

• Minimum three years experience with clinical information systems
• General knowledge of HL7 and interpretation of proprietary data formats.
• General knowledge of codes and standards such as CPT-4 and ICD-9.
• Strong interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate with users and vendors
• Passion for teamwork, continuing education, problem solving and exceptional customer service
• Must be well spoken, outgoing, organized, detailed-orientated, dependable and flexible
• Proficient with personal computer based productivity tools –MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Also some familiarity with process documentation tool such as Visio, Smart Draw, etc.
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
• Background check required
• Reliable transportation

Purpose

 

PMG provides administrative and managerial services to member physicians, hospitals and organized physician groups within Santa Cruz County.  It provides an organizational environment in which physicians of high quality, while remaining independent, can continue to serve the community.  Through a variety of health care vehicles it helps align the financial incentives of physicians and hospitals in efficient delivery systems.
